Adding Hypercosm applets to PowerPoint presentations is easy, useful, and doesn't require any scripting or coding. Just follow the steps listed below.
Step 1: Open PowerPoint Options
Click Microsoft Office Button on the top left corner > click "PowerPoint Options" at the bottom of the panel:
Step 2: Show the Developer Tab
Under the "Popular" tab at the left, click the "Show Developer tab in the Ribbon" option:
Step 3: Show More Controls
On the Developer tab, go to the "Controls" group and click on the "More Controls" button (the one with the hammer and wrench).
Step 4: Select Hypercosm Applet
On the "More Controls" dialog box, select "Hypercosm Applet" from the list and hit the "Ok" button.
Step 5: Drag out a rectangle for the applet
Next, drag out a rectangle on your PowerPoint slide where you'd like the Hypercosm applet to go.
Step 6: Open the Applet Properties Dialog Box
Right click on the applet rectangle that you just dragged out and select "Properties" from the pop-up menu.
Step 7: Set the AppletSrc Property to the name of the applet
In the Properties dialog box, set the "AppletSrc" property to the name of the applet. Remember that if the applet is located in another directory, then you must include the path to the applet relative to the the PowerPoint presentation file.
Step 8: Run the slide show!
That's it. Now you can run the slide show. As soon as the slide loads, the applet will load and begin running. You can manipulate the applet inside of the slide in the same way that you can manipulate the applet in a web page.
