To change Internet Explorer's security settings to allow active Hypercosm 3D content to be displayed, follow these steps.
Step 1: Open Internet Explorer's "Internet Options" Dialog Box
Go to the Internet Explorer's main menu bar and select the menu labeled "Tools". Select the bottom option on menu, which is labeled "Internet Options".
Step 2: Click the "Security" Tab
After selecting Internet Explorer's "Internet Options", your computer will display up a dialog box like the one below. Click on the "Security" tab, which is the second tab from the left at the top of the "Internet Options" dialog box.
Step 3: Select "Custom Level"
Clicking on the "Security" tab will bring up a dialog box like the one shown below. Click on the "Custom Level" button on the bottom center of this dialog box.
Step 4: Enable Downloading of ActiveX Controls
The "Custom Level" button will bring up the dialog box shown below. This dialog box allows you to specifically adjust a variety of different security settings. To enable your browser to download ActiveX controls, find the group of options with the heading "ActiveX controls and plug-ins", and the subheading of "Download unsigned ActiveX controls". Click the "Enable" option underneath this heading.
Step 5: Enable Running of ActiveX Controls
Next, to enable your browser to run ActiveX controls, find the group of options with the heading "ActiveX controls and plug-ins", and the subheading of "Download unsigned ActiveX controls". Click the "Enable" option underneath this heading.
Step 6: Refresh the Web Page
To allow the changes that you have made to be put into effect, reload the web page by hitting the "Refresh" button at the top of your browser. The browser should now attempt to run the Hypercosm 3D applets.
Step 7: Change Additional Windows XP Security Settings, If Neccessary
If you are running Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later, then you may need to
change a few more system settings.
