Description
This demonstration shows Hypercosm's ability to use direct manipulation techniques to virtually grab and move around objects in a 3d scene.
Purpose
The most natural way to manipulate objects is by "direct manipulation". This means having the ability to directly manipulate an object using its visual depiction on the screen. Direct manipulation is more complex in 3D than it is in 2D, but using Hypercosm Studio scripting software, this type of manipulation can be added to simulations relatively easily using the OMAR 3D scripting language.
