For advanced applications, the Pro version also allows you to convert your 3D scenes into a script code form where objects can be controlled using our "OMAR" 3D scripting language. If you have an idea for an advanced 3D simulation project, but don't have experience in scripting or programming, then our custom development services group can help you to realize your vision.
For full-featured web publishing of 3D models, go "Pro."
Features
Hypercosm Teleporter Pro for SketchUp includes the following features:
- All The Features of the Free Version
The Pro version includes all of the features of the free version including low file sizes, model encryption, preservation of SketchUp rendering styles, and simple operation.
- "Applet Skins" - Customizable User Interface
Using Hypercosm's "Applet Skins", you can customize the user interface features and design that are used to interact with the model. You can choose from a set of pre-made skins that are provided, or you can create your own using HTML, Javascript, and Flash.
- Email / Web Collaboration Tools
The "email link" and "copy link" buttons allow you to capture your view, your current rendering mode, and any added annotations all in a simple hyperlink and to automatically email this link to share your exact view of the model. This makes it possible to use online 3D models as an easy-to-use collaboration tool.
- Markup Tools
The "draw line" and "freehand" markup tools allow you to draw markups right into the 3D scene. It's like turning your model into a virtual 3D whiteboard. These tools work together with the "email link" and "copy link" features described above in order to allow you to easily share your markups with someone else across the internet.
- Annotation Tools
The "add text" and "add marker" annotation tools allow you to add text, markers and hyperlinks to the a scene. These tools work together with the
"email link" and "copy link" features described above in order to allow you to easily share your annotations with someone else across the internet.
- Hyperlinks
The "add marker" tool allows you to add a hyperlink to a marker. This makes it possible to add links from a 3D model to external documents including web pages, photographs, Word or PDF documents and more.
- Sticky Notes
Sticky notes allow you to add text in the form of little paste on notes. The sticky notes work together with the
"email link" and "copy link" features described above in order to allow you to easily share your sticky notes with someone else across the internet.
- Export of SketchUp Pages / Scenes
Export SketchUp pages with cameras, unique rendering styles and visibility flags for each page. The SkektchUp Pro exporter preserves these pages and applies the page attributes to the scene when the viewer changes pages.
- Export of SketchUp Layers
You can also divide your scene up into seperate layers that will be preserved when you export the model allowing the viewer to toggle the visibility of each layer on and off.
- Tour Guide / Slide Show Support
Support for SketchUp's "Tour Guide" feature lets you set up a pre-scripted tour through a sequence of views. This lets you to take the viewer on a virtual 3D "tour" of your model.
- Sound and Voice Annotation of Pages
You can add your own audio files to each SketchUp page so that you can “talk” your clients through a 3D design or make it come alive with sound effects.
- Measuring Tool
The "tape measure" measuring tool makes it possible to explore a 3D model and find out dimensions, clearences, and other important spatial information.
- Control over Precision / File Size
The Pro version allows you to set the amount of file compression and texture detail to use in order to arrive at the best possible trade off between precision and file size for your application.
- Section Planes and Section Cuts
Support for SketchUp cross sections allows you to create cut-away views of architectural or mechanical models, showing the interior details.
- Mapping
Mapping underlays allows you to easily give your architectural models a realistic sense of place and to show relationships between the model and surrounding structures, roads, or other features.
- Real-time Peer to Peer Collaboration
Real-time collaboration allows you to connect to another user across the internet and take turns manipulating the model. Each person will see on their screen what the other person is seeing at the same time. This can be useful for real-time design reviews, guided tours, and other applications.
- Open Javascript API
Since Hypercosm user interface skins are created using simple HTML and Javascript, you can create your own, modify the behavior of existing ones, and generally control a 3D applet using Hypercosm's open Javascript API. You can even add markers and Hyperlinks just like you can in tools like Google Maps by adding a bit of Javascript to your HTML pages.
- OMAR 3D Script Output for Adding Advanced Dynamic Simulation and Behavior
By using Hypercosm Studio, it's possible to add dynamic simulation and behaviors to your 3D models. By using a scripting language, you can add complex behaviors to your 3D objects to make them not just LOOK like the real thing, but also ACT like the real thing.
