Email / Web Collaboration Tools

Hypercosm Teleporter Pro for SketchUp allows you to use your 3D models as an online collaboration tool through the use of the "copy link" button. The copy link button captures the current view of the 3D model as you are currently viewing it. It captures the current view, the current rendering mode, and the locations of any markers that you may have placed in the scene. All of this information is contained in a simple hyperlink that you can paste into an email and send just like any other ordinary hyperlink. When the recipient clicks on the link (assuming that they have the Hypercosm Player installed), they will see the model exactly as you are seeing it!

The Internet Toolbar

The "Email Link" Button

The "email link" button is the quickest and easiest way to share a view of a web based 3D model. To use this button, just click the "email link" button on the Internet toolbar. This will automatically start up your email program and paste into the message a link to your model view, annotations and all. All you need to do is to type in the name of the recipient and hit "send". When they receive the email, all they need to do (assuming that they have the Hypercosm Player installed) is to click on the link and then they will see the model from the exact same view as you and with any added annotations that you may have made.

The "Copy Link" Button

The "copy link" button can also be used to share a specific view of a model. It can be used instead of the "send email" button if you want to use a different email program or otherwise have more control over the process. To use the "copy link" button to send an email, just follow these steps:

  1. First, press the "copy link" button on the toolbar to the lower left side of the 3D window as shown below
  2. Second, copy the URL from the address bar at the top of your web browser.
  3. Last, paste this URL into an email and send!

You can use the examples below to navigate to different viewpoints, add markers, and then capture and send links to friends or colleagues. The "copy link" button in included in the "standard" user interface skin.
