The
tape measure tool makes it possible to explore a web based 3D model and find out dimensions, clearences and other important spatial information. This makes it possible for architects to communicate structural dimensions, for interior designers to communicate the dimensions of interior furnishings and for engineers to communicate the sizes of parts and mechanical equipment.
To use the tape measure, press the tape measure button, then click on a point in the scene and drag the mouse to another point. The tape measure in the scene will show you the span that you are measuring and the distance between the two points will be displayed at the bottom right corner of the 3D window.
