Hypercosm Teleporter for SketchUp Applet Skins

This online repository contains a collection of "applet skins" that you can use with Hypercosm Teleporter Pro for SketchUp.

How to Use New Skins

Installing and using new skins with Hypercosm Teleporter is quick and easy! Just follow the instructions listed here.

Modifying Skins (for Web Developers)

Since the skins are created HTML and Javascript, they can be freely modified or enhanced by those with web development skills. If you plan to change the graphical appearance of the skin, but not to change the fundamental behavior, then you can use the skins below. However, if you are a Javascript guru who likes to get in and work with the actual code that controls the skin's behavior and functionality, then you'll want to use skins with "uncompressed Javascript" which can be downloaded here.

Standard with Large Buttons
This is the standard skin used to replicate the look and feel of the SketchUp user interface with the standard toolbars and buttons found in SketchUp.

Standard with Small Buttons
This skin is similar to the "Standard with Large Buttons " skin, but with small buttons on the toolbars instead of the large buttons that are used by default in SketchUp.

Standard with Large Buttons and Maps
This is similar to the "Standard with Large Buttons" skin, but with the addition of a mapping toolbar for geolocated SketchUp models.

Standard with Small Buttons and Maps
This is similar to the "Standard with Small Buttons" skin, but with the addition of a mapping toolbar for geolocated SketchUp models.

MarkUp with Large Buttons
This skin is specialized to include only the markup and annotation buttons plus a simple set of navigation buttons. This is the skin to use for easy online 3D collaboration.

MarkUp with Small Buttons
This skin is "MarkUp with Large Buttons" skin above but uses small buttons on the toolbars instead of the large buttons used by default in SketchUp.

Getting Started with Large Buttons
This skin has a simplified user interface for novices and includes a subset of the buttons used in the "Getting Started" toolbar found in SketchUp.

Getting Started with Small Buttons
This skin is similar to the "Getting Started" skin described above, but uses small buttons on the toolbars instead of the large buttons used by default in SketchUp.

Simple with Large Round Buttons
This is a simple skin with just the four large round navigation buttons and page tabs. This skin is preferred if you need to present 3D models to novice users who may be intimidated by a more complex user interface.

Mouse Only
This is a bare bones minimalist skin that uses the mouse only to control the model instead of using the mouse in conjunction with additional buttons and toolbars. Different functions are provided by each of the different mouse buttons (left, right, and both).

Walkthrough
This is a simple skin that uses the mouse and mouse buttons to navigate a scene giving the user the feel of walking or driving. Push the mouse forward to move forward and move the mouse left or right to "steer". Use the right mouse and the mouse to "look around".

Layer Control
This user interface is specialized for easy and intuitive control of layers. It features a series of labelled checkbox controls on the left side of the display for each layer and a minimal set of navigation controls at the top.

Time Slider
This user interface is used to show a progression through time by using a slider to advance the "pages" or "scenes". If you define cameras for each page, then the slider will smoothly advance from one camera to the next. Alternatively, you can also change the layer visibility in each page so that the model changes form over time.

Color Chooser
This skin allows users to choose a custom color and apply it to the scene. Using a set of sliders at the top of the page, users can pick any color they want and it will automatically be applied to any uncolored objects in the scene. This skin is perfect for allowing users to experiment with paint colors for houses, furniture, cars, etc.

Color Configurator
This skin allows users to choose between a set of color configurations of a model. The available color configurations are defined by a tiny bit of Javascript at the bottom of the HTML file in this skin, so if you want to change the colors that you can choose from, just edit this code to add your own!

Configurator
This skin is a template for a general purpose interface that lets a user choose between different configurations of a model. To use this skin, put the different configurations into different layers. Click here to see an example.

Model Search
The model search skin allows you to add additional information about a 3D model. When the user does a search on the model, the skin will look up the information based upon title, description, and keywords and display 3D markers and text that matches the search terms.

Flower Garden Planner
This whimsical skin is an example of how custom skins and markers can be created using Javascript. This skin allows a house model to be annotated with a variety of different markers depicting types of flowers.
