In order to view interactive Hypercosm 3D simulations, you must first install the Hypercosm 3D Player onto your computer. This player software uses a standard "plug-in" mechanism to integrate with your web browser in a similar way to other standard web based rich media types such as Apple's Quicktime or Macromedia's Shockwave. Once you install this player, you can view any simulation that has been created with the Hypercosm 3D technology.
- Click the download button above to download the installer. If your web browser offers you the option to "Save" or "Store" the program, select that option.
- You now need to launch the installer that you just downloaded and saved to disk.
- You will need to quit and restart your web browser. You may want to bookmark this page before quitting.
- You can visit the test page to verify that it installed correctly.
- You can visit our applications showcase to see some examples of Hypercosm interactive 3D simulations
The Hypercosm Player requires that you have the following:
- Windows 95, 98, 2000, or XP
- A web browser such as Internet Explorer (4.0 or later), Firefox, or Netscape
- A 3D capable video card is highly recommended
